DOCTOR WHO FINALE AAAARRGGGH (SPOILERS)

I punched the air when he finally acknowledges his feelings for River. Best. Kiss. Ever. I hope it wasn’t *actually* goodbye.

I am waiting to get over my OTP excitement so I can be angry about what a hurried and disorderly mess the finale was, just like the rest of the series. I think it was definitely the most poorly written series to date, which makes me worry about the future of the show.

Even though I read the spoilers about John Hurt, I’m a bit shocked that they turned out to be true. This could be either a really cool and exciting game-changer, or ruin the series. :/

I know everyone is freaking out about the fact that this makes Matt Smith the TWELFTH Doctor, which means that he only has one generation left. What everyone seems to forget is that Doctor Who is bonafide institution AND a franchise that generates millions: I seriously doubt the BBC is going to call it quits any time soon. I’m sure when the Doctor reaches the “end,” the writers will pull some stupid timey-wimey thing out of their arses that gives the Doctor more regenerations. This show has bent its own rules so many times that frankly, I’m surprised we all still watch it.

Maybe it’s the cheekbones and the bow tie that keep me going at this point.
